Visa and Residence Permit Information for Incoming Erasmus+ Students
If you are from a country that is exempt from the visa requirement for Turkey, you do not need to apply for a visa through the Turkish Embassy or Consulates. You can enter Turkey directly with your passport. Your residence permit application will be processed as part of the Orientation Program.
However, it is crucial to verify your country’s visa requirements for Turkey by consulting the Turkish Embassy or Consulates in your home country. If you are required to obtain a student visa to enter Turkey, you should apply for it as soon as you receive your acceptance letter. Plan your travel accordingly to allow sufficient time for visa processing before your departure.
Upon arrival, you must personally apply for a residence permit within one month.
The residence permit is issued by the Directorate General of Migration Management. The International Office at Çankaya University will assist you with the application process during the orientation period.
